Imad Wasim makes history in T20 cricket

Imad Wasim - Cricket Australia Former Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim has etched his name in the history books after he completed 1000 runs and took fifty wickets in a calendar year in T20s.The 35-year-old made his debut for Melbourne Stars in Big Bash League (BBL) season 13 today where he scored 14 runs in ten balls. Imad is only the fourth cricketer to achieve this feat. Before him Kieron Pollard (2010), Azhar Mahmood (2012) and Andre Russell (2016) did it.Remember, Imad Wasim announced his retirement from international cricket last month. He has opted to play franchise leagues across the globe and was involved with Deccan Gladiators in the T10 League earlier this month.Imad’s retirement came as a surprise to many as the left-handed all-rounder is still in great shape physically and featured in Pakistan’s last T20I series against New Zealand where he performed well.He was also one of the best players in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 8 where the left-handed batter amassed 404 runs in 10 innings at an impressive 134.66 average and 170.46 strike rate while also taking nine wickets with the ball.Imad also became part of one of the biggest trades in the history of the PSL ahead of season nine as he joined Islamabad United while Hasan Ali joined Karachi Kings. They don't select the best talent to play for Pakistan & even if they do so, they don't take these players in the playing eleven.
